What is a customer portal?
A customer portal is a signed in part of your website, often called My pages. Each customer finds everything about their business with you there, such as agreements, documents, open tickets, quotes and invoices. The customer no longer needs to email and ask, and you no longer need to search your inbox.
A portal pays off most when you have recurring customers, many documents or projects that run over time. Typical examples are consultancies, construction firms, property managers, accounting firms and insurance brokers.
What does a customer portal cost?
The price depends on what the customer should be able to do in the portal. We therefore offer three levels at a fixed price, so you know the cost before the work starts. The current prices are shown further up on this page and come straight from our price list.
- Basic suits you when customers mainly need to find their documents and send tickets. Sign in uses two step verification.
- Medium suits you when the customer should follow the whole engagement, with projects, milestones, quotes approved digitally and invoices. Sign in uses BankID.
- Large suits you when you want to take payment in the portal, connect it to accounting or CRM and control permissions in detail.
Operations and hosting are not included in the package price and are invoiced monthly.
What drives the price of a customer portal
If you compare quotes from several suppliers, four things explain almost the entire difference in price.
- Number of flows. Every task the customer can perform, such as approving a quote or uploading a file, is a flow that must be designed, built and tested.
- Sign in. A password with two step verification is the simplest. BankID requires an agreement with a provider and more work, but gives stronger identification.
- Integrations. A portal that reads from accounting, CRM or a business system costs more than one with its own data, but removes double work every day.
- Permissions. If several people at the same customer need different rights you need roles, and every change should be logged.
How we build your customer portal
- We go through what your customers ask for most often and what data your systems hold today.
- You receive a clickable design in Figma and approve it before we write any code.
- We build the portal, set up a test environment and let you try it with real examples.
- After your final adjustments we deploy the portal and show you how to add customers and documents.
The portal can be added to a website you already have. The website does not need to be rebuilt.
Security and accessibility
A customer portal handles information that must not end up in the wrong hands. Every page requires sign in and each customer only sees their own information. The interface follows WCAG 2.1 AA and works on mobile, tablet and desktop.
We use the same kind of portal ourselves
Our own customers follow their projects, quotes and invoices on My pages with us. We therefore know how a portal works in everyday use, not only in a demo.
